Midwest Regional Sales Representative
Location – Home Based, Midwest US (Ohio)
Position Summary:
Responsible for driving profitable sales growth with new and existing customers while developing new business to expand Fredman Bag’s customer base. This is a home-based position selling to primarily end-users with primary focus on growing sales of Fredman & Clearview Business Units with added opportunity to cross sell with sister company Summit Plastics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and knowledge of film extrusion, high-resolution flexographic print, laminations, bag and roll stock converting. The position reports to the VP Sales & Marketing.

- Fredman Bag & Clearview Packaging:
- Printed roll stock / Zipper Bags / Wicketed Bags / Header Bags / Tortilla Bags Promotional Items / Laminated Roll stock / Stand Up Pouch
- Summit Plastics:
- Gaylord/Box Liners / Pallet Covers & Caps / Furniture Bags / Mattress Bags / Shrink Bundling Film / Shrink Bags / Modified Atmosphere sheeting & Bags (CVP)
Target markets include but not limited to the following:
- Fredman Bag & Clearview Packaging:
- Bakery / Household goods / Produce / Frozen Food / Hardware / Pet / Candy & Confections / Medical / Lawn & Garden / Promotional
- Summit Plastics:
- Industrial / Food & Beverage / Lawn & Garden / Automotive / Healthcare
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but may consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- 3 years successful direct sales experience in a similar space (flexible films and film applications, film extrusion, laminations, pouches, bag making, converting, process printing).
- Proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of CRM, LinkedIn, other social selling
- Outstanding prospecting and closing skills
- High level of drive, motivation, and ambition for professional growth
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel as needed for in-person customer visits and to attend essential meetings.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Attract, develop, and maintain new business opportunities through outside selling
- Identify, secure and effectively manage new business accounts
- Develop strong sales by networking and cold calling
- Work to understand customers’ needs and how to meet them
- Develop and grow business relationships with new and existing customers
- Propose improvements to management and customers
- Managing price and gross margin within guidelines set by VP Sales & Mkg.
- Use a wide variety of lead generation methods including internet searches, LinkedIn, cold calling, referrals, etc. to target prospective customers
- Proactively identify new opportunities, develop a strategy for achieving success, and act towards a win
- Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for new and prospective customers
- Analyze the territory’s potential and determine the value of new and prospective customer’s value to the company
- Creates and manages a customer value plan for new customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities
- Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Drive the resolution of customer problems and complaints
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
