Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Build and manage a team of Analysts, Associates and junior-level VPs who will develop, implement, monitor and optimize credit risk policy. Manage three (3) or more employees ranging from Analyst to Associate and Vice President. Perform statistically driven credit underwriting and risk analyses using a variety of analytic techniques and data sources for the development of consumer and small business acquisition strategies across accept/ decline, pricing and term optimization. Develop best in class loss forecasting framework for consumer lending business of the Firm. Partner with marketing, finance, product, tech, finance, decision sciences, operations and governance teams to ensure smooth execution and satisfaction of all control requirements. Analyze credit bureau data to identify and derive attributes for credit risk decision. Identify alternative bureau data to enhance credit risk decision. Build and optimize existing customer management strategies to improve customer level profitability. Ensure that all credit strategies align with Risk Appetite framework. Keep up to date with applicable regulations and compliance requirements through regular interactions with business legal and compliance team. Guide team members in the design and development of analytical reports and presentations for senior management, executive committees and regulatory exams.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related field. Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related position working closely with senior leadership to develop and manage credit risk policy, and with senior leaders from across functional organization to drive business strategy. Must have eight (8) years of experience: Demonstrating understanding of US retail (Consumer or small business) lending business model in terms of revenue source, pricing and credit risk management; Working with large datasets and big data (e.g. trade line, time-series and transaction data); Using advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel including creation of pivot tables, logic functions, data tables and regression analysis, PowerPoint and Word. Must have five (5) years of experience: Managing and/or guiding a team of credit risk professionals with a range of experience levels; Utilizing advanced analytical packages such as SAS, R, Python and SQL to analyze data, identify insights and make recommendations; Visualizing complex data analyses and communicating to a wide variety of audiences, including senior leadership; Managing several projects at once and driving end-to-end project delivery; Developing policy and procedural documentation for credit risk strategy execution; Developing and automating quality control processes to ensure intended execution of credit strategies; Working for a financial service provider with an asset value of at least $5bn.
