Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

We are seeking a RN Nurse Supervisor for our Residential Care wing to provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing related operations during the scheduled shift.
RN Nurse Supervisor Primary Responsibilities:

In the absence of the Director of Residential Care, functions as the primary professional nurse for the unit

Supervises, implements and monitors the quality and quantity of care provided following accepted nursing standards, regulations, and MVH policy, in order to insure that the highest quality care is provided.

Provides direction/counseling/training on job performance; ensures that department staff are competent in their performance and practice within their scope of licensure and job descriptions; completes disciplinary actions/commendations according to policy/procedure in a fair/consistent manner, and makes recommendations for retention/discharge of subordinates.

Monitors and evaluates shift routines and makes adjustments as needed; and assists staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems.

Experience and Skills:

Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Maine

Knowledge of regulations for residential care preferred
