As an HR Generalist, this position is responsible for promoting an inclusive environment at USD. This includes:
  • Supporting USD and HR strategic goals
  • Assisting HR Partners with recruitment of a skilled, diverse workforce to support USD goals and objectives
  • Conducting a variety of training programs to include on-boarding for new employees
  • Managing several processes within HR such as FMLA and ADA
  • Maintaining HR web pages and other social media sources
  • Assisting staff and potential employees with questions about HRIS systems
  • Helping maintain the integrity of the HRIS system (HR and payroll)
  • Data entry of HR/Payroll information
Successful candidates will have:
  • Knowledge of human resources and payroll policies, processes, and practices. Candidates with knowledge of South Dakota HR/Payroll polices and procedures preferred.
  • Ability to present HR and Payroll topics at workshops to diverse audiences or one-on-one
  • Knowledge of social media avenues to promote HR and payroll information
  • Ability to be forward-thinking and review processes and practices for improvement
  • Attention to detail
