We are a growing organization seeking committed candidates to help us serve our clients. Currently we have an opportunity for a Purchasing/Procurement Specialist.

Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Construction Support Services, this position provides Purchasing/Procurement and logistical support for the respective site/department. In addition to data entry, filing and scheduling of all purchase orders for each vendor and each site, performs duties such as coordinating deliveries and updating the status of outstanding orders, communications to each respective Site or Project Manager, and working on special projects. Will assemble and maintain a filing system to allow tracking and record keeping in support of the site and cost controls functions, regularly communicate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery, and overall customer service issues. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.

Gain competitive bids and pricing from suppliers and ensure all orders meet fulfillment to Client and Contractual specifications.

Support the company by placing and processing order, monitoring order progress, and communicating order status regularly to project & site teams.

Provide subcontractor expertise and support with project and estimating teams for ongoing projects and proposals.

Communicate regularly with suppliers to maintain purchase order status, ensure favorable pricing, and relay any services issues and/or back order items to project team.

Create and maintain database for all processed orders for each site, project, and each individual vendor.

Small business administration experience for Federal Government projects.

Assist Site/Project with additional logistics, transporting materials and/or equipment, or helping with any other coordination support to optimize site operation.

Coordinate services for home office & site locations, for services consistent with maintaining facilities.

Provide subcontractor qualifications and ensure Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
4 -6 years employment subcontractor experience with flow down of all terms and conditions of prime contractor

4 - 6 years or more of purchasing or expediting experience

Capable of effectively using Microsoft Office products, most importantly Excel, Word & Outlook

A professional and prompt demeanor

Extensive capabilities in multiple database management, cultivating and maintaining employee and customer relationships, and detail oriented tracking of all orders/requisitions.

Government purchasing and subcontractor experience (FAR and flow downs, clauses)

Education and Experience:
Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in the Industrial Purchasing/Procurement field.

Bachelor s Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics, (or closely related discipline)

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
