We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate to join our team. As a Warehouse Associate III, you will be responsible for the picking and shipping of product orders. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The warehouse associate III position is part of the team that supports receiving, shipping and warehouse functions. This includes processing inbound deliveries, processing purchase order receipts within the business system, handling returns, processing shipments related to sales orders, physically and systematically managing inventories, organizing the warehouse, cycle counting, and various warehouse projects as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly processing the receipt of goods from inbound deliveries. Includes physical inspection, sign off, processing receipt in system, preparing the product for inventory, transferring inventory to correct location and physically stocking the goods in the warehouse.
- Physically and systematically moving material as needed throughout the warehouse. This includes down stocking, reorganization of goods, or moving materials to production areas as needed.
- Maintain proper communication and documentation with the Accounts Payable, Operations, Product, and Purchasing teams.
- Processing of inbound product returns that includes inspection of returned materials, decisions on credit/no credit, documentation of reason codes, processing of initial return within the business system, and the final handling of scrap/usable components.
- Physical counting of inventories when needed.
- Safe operation of manlifts and forklifts within the building.
- Maintenance of bin locations and barcode labels as needed.
- Picking of production materials in preparation of manufacturing processes.
- Pick, pack and shipping support when receiving functions are caught up and/or shipping department needs assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse and/or receiving position that includes direct interaction with business system and processing inventory and purchase order receipt related transactions.
- Ability to safely operate manlift and forklift equipment without restrictions.
- Ability to lift 75lbs without restrictions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of tools, such as Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.01 - $23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
