Summary: This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of program operations at The Great Park Ice and Sports Complex. This includes program and facility schedules, program procedures, parties and special events, participant communication, human resources, payroll, and accounting. This position reports to the General Manager of The Great Park ICE and Sports Complex.

Examples of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Facility Operations

Oversee facility operations
Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly facility schedule for all facility uses including hockey, figure skating, marketing, and special events.
Serve as a liaison to F&B Supervisor and Marketing representative on sales of unused ice time and facility space
Enforce compliance to all company SOP's
Enforce implementation of all tools, systems and processes
Responsible for knowing and carrying out emergency procedures including follow-up documentation and reporting on injuries to guests or employees in coordination with Risk Management and Safety & Health Compliance Manager
Ensure safety by promoting security, first aid and emergency guidelines and procedures.
Communicate with hockey, skating, and maintenance departments to ensure efficiency.
Human Resources and Personnel

Manage Lead/Supervisor staff.
Review scheduling of hourly and salaried staff against demand levels as dictated by program and facility schedule.
Insure performance appraisals are completed in a timely and fair matter
Work with General Manager to develop, implement and manage on-going manpower plan and maintain retention
Work with General Manager to ensure all positions are filled with qualified personnel in a timely fashion.
Maintain open lines of communication within the organization.
Promote the successes of team members along with the company’s vision and values.
Insure professional growth and development of all staff members.
Administer feedback and evaluation programs.
Communicate goals and expectations to ensure consistency within staff.
Ensure professional growth and development of all direct reports by encouraging awareness of industry trends, new methods and equipment for ice and facility maintenance and taking an active role in community activities and business relevant regional and national associations.
Accounting and Finance

Account for all revenues (monies) collected on a daily basis.
Reviews daily records of transactions and cash funds as well as ticketing/membership system overview
Assist General Manager in preparation of annual budget and reports on monthly performance against operating plan.
Monitor expenses and initiate control policies where appropriate
Insure payroll levels are within projected guidelines
Guest Experience

Ensure Guest experience is representative of The Rinks/Anaheim Ducks name in programming quality and service.
Maintains highest level of Guest Service both internally and externally.
Demonstrate the initiative and commitment to communication and teamwork to assure optimal Guest Service
Other Duties as assigned.

Specific Qualifications/Abilities: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Five to Ten years of progressively responsible experience in all aspects of business operations, finances and promotional programs. Ice and arena management experience preferred.
Knowledge of utilities and facility maintenance and upkeep.
Strong knowledge of sports and recreation programming a plus.
Must possess outstanding interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills.
Experienced at coordinating team and league activities, including designing training activities and promoting programs.
Possess understanding of ice resurfacing equipment and ice plant including but not limited to compressors, HVAC, dehumidification systems, and cooling towers.
College degree preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Possesses the ability to communicate The Rinks/Anaheim Ducks vision and commitment to quality service, products and entertainment.
Is a service-minded self-starter who is highly motivated and possesses characteristics of energy, enthusiasm, assertiveness, drive and a sense of fun.
