What You’ll Get to Do
Be part of a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team supporting rapid and innovative prototype development of warfighting capabilities that increase lethality, survivability, and warfighter effectiveness in support of the Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (AF TENCAP) mission to exploit national systems, educate warfighters, and influence development of future requirements. As a member of the team you will integrate with cross-functional teams to conduct research, design, development, prototyping, systems engineering, integration, testing and evaluation, transitioning, and training across multiple technology areas to include: Geolocation and Tagging, Tracking, Locating; Sensor, Data Fusion, and Dissemination; Unconventional / Asymmetric Warfare / Support to Special Operations; Situational Awareness; Cyberspace and Spectrum Warfare Operations; Air Superiority; Command, Control and Spectrum Utilization; Real-Time/Near Real Time Large Data Analytics and Virtualization. Projects in the portfolio will range in quantity, scope, duration, and complexity. Projects are designed to transition to warfighters and/or national intelligence agencies for operational use, sustainment and appropriate acquisition Programs of Record for further development.
More About the Role
Designs aircraft components and systems for integration and/or installation.
Responsible for systems fielding & installation support, installation on aircraft, set up ensuring system is properly installed in accordance with regulations and rules.
Responsible for supporting Mechanical, RF, electrical and hardware engineers on custom aircraft hardware or antenna installation and placement
Applies expert knowledge in trade studies, analysis of alternatives (AoA), and gap analysis regarding aircraft
Responsible for researching, planning, designing, developing, modifying and evaluating aircraft components, sub-systems and systems such as instruments, controls, antennas, engines, machines and mechanical or thermal hydraulic systems.
Applies knowledge of aircraft design, mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, or manufacturing to these activities.
Coordinates with technical support personnel to conduct prototype or experimental to include installation on Aircraft, UAV and ground control components
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Top Secret Clearance
Bachelors Degree and 3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
3 to 10 years’ experience with aerospace systems engineering/architecture
Detailed knowledge of remote sensing systems and overall architectures
Experience identifying user & enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis and assessment
Experience in supporting Enterprise Architectures, Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate the End to End Systems Engineering.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have
Eligibility for TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph (U.S. Citizenship required for clearance)
