This job contributes to Starbucks success by managing in-house and external public relations campaigns in support of the business objectives of the Starbucks Global Supply Chain group. Provides a leadership role in the development strategy and implementation of extending the Starbucks brand outside of our retail stores. Collaborates and influences cross-functionally and within different business models to formulate communications strategies and objectives to help drive existing and new businesses within Global GSC. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.
Develops strategic communications plans for the work group, manage execution, and measures results. Organizes the execution of tactical communications plans and global integration programs with staff.
Plans and manages department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in communications strategies within the organization.
Recommends communication budgets and timelines. Determines distribution of budget to tactical projects and PR campaigns and is accountable for meeting budget and timing targets.
Defines and communicates processes for improving business planning, cross-functional communication, work integration, and teamwork between partners from cross-functional departments. Manages relationship with internal and external groups to develop overall strategies and processes for completing work.
Develops and documents communications strategies with other Public Affairs teams, PR agencies, business partners and cross-functional departments to meet business objectives.
Identifies and tracks communications success metrics and program performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness and to integrate into future initiatives. Presents communications strategies, execution details and performance results to leadership and other departments.
Ensures compliance brand standards. Trains global business and agency partners on communications tools. Identifies global needs for communications and brand guardrails and changes to PR plans as related to overall marketing. Communicates local communications requests, gaining alignment with Public Affairs and local markets and integration with retail teams for each campaign.

Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partner, business and customer results.
