What you will do
This position exists within the Clarios Analytics Team and will be located within the US region (Milwaukee) and is responsible for the overall analytics capabilities at a Global and Regional Level.
This position is responsible for designing and delivering Business Intelligence solutions within Azure Cloud Platform. This individual needs to drive continuous improvement to stabilize and rationalize existing analytics landscape and needs to have the ability to deliver support, enhance and build (project work) on time and under budget while following Clarios Application development standards.
How you will do it
Architect and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements
Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
Proactively provide guidance on engineering methodologies, standards and leading practices
Identify, communicate and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and decisions throughout full lifecycle
Provide solutions that consider the art of the possible, compare various architectural options based on feasibility and impact
Analyze and operate at various levels of abstraction
Balance what is strategically right with what is practical and realistic
Enable the creation of future-proof, complex global data solutions
Gain knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate technical team
Maintain close awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application for service offerings and products
Apply strong knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc in the design of data and system architecture and approaches
What we look for
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or comparable field
Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience required for this level
Minimum of three (3) years of experience focusing in architecting and developing business intelligence solution within Cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS)
Minimum of five (5) years of experience focusing in architecting Business Intelligence (BI) solutions
Experience in Azure Cloud Architecture role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms
Experience with any of the following: O365, Azure, Azure Stack, Azure AD, GCP, AWS
Experience with claims based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC), MFA, and RBAC
Experience coordinating the intersection of complex system dependencies and interactions
Experience with multi-tier system and service design and development for large enterprises
Experience building and supporting mission critical technology components with DR capabilities
Experience with relational, graph and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, DataBricks, HD Insights, Hadoop, Cloudera, MongoDB, MySQL, Neo4j, Cassandra, Couchbase
Experience with data ingestion technologies such as Aspera, MoveIT, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Pentaho, Alteryx
Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI and SAP BO
Experience with machine learning tools such as Azure ML, IBM, AWS, etc.
Experience supporting applications in a 24x7x365 manufacturing environment.
Software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries and tools
Knowledge and experience in IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used
Microsoft BI or similar technology (SQL Server SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and PowerPivot) would be a plus
Action oriented, with the ability to understand and willingness to get into systems development details when warranted. “Do what it takes” attitude.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to travel internationally to support job responsibilities as required. (Approx. 5-10%)
