Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or the equivalent in related experience.
Minimum of one year’s experience working for a nonprofit organization in a marketing role.
Social media experience required.
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop required.
Working knowledge of Web software (WordPress) is required.
Experience using email marketing software preferred.
Some fundraising experience is a plus.

Along with the Marketing & Communications Manager, implement and maintain a comprehensive digital media strategy across multiple social media platforms, with special focus on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Manage the organization’s digital presence across same social media channels.
Under guidance of the Marketing & Communications Manager, monitor digital media market and competitor research, maintain digital best practices, and maximize digital media performance by meeting or beating established performance goals through digital analytics.
Create original content as needed (e.g., photographs or short videos).
Oversee interns who can assist with social media postings to optimize performance.
Review and assist in ongoing Starfish website updating and periodic site refresh.
Assist in the creation of ongoing stakeholder e-communications.
Assist in the creation of marketing materials including program fliers.
Assist in the coordination of and maintenance of marketing outreach materials, including press kits, donor and stewardship packets, and reports.
Support a variety of marketing projects as needed.
Provide assistance for special-event projects and fundraising events.
Provide assistance with proofreading fundraising and marketing materials.
