Provides direct physical therapy services to SCSDB students in compliance with IDEA and Medicaid guidelines. Completes supervisory duties for physical therapist assistants. Evaluates students to determine need for physical therapy (PT) services, develops IEP/treatment plans, provides direct and indirect PT services, and monitors student progress. Participates in IEP meetings and other agency and student related meetings. Write progress reports and summaries of treatment for Medicaid and ensures all PT documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy and 3 years of related field and work experience in physical therapy or a Master's Degree with one year of experience in physical therapy. Must be licensed as a registered Physical Therapist by the SC Board of Physical Therapy. This position may require communication modalities dependent upon employment placement.
