HLP| HannLeb Physics is actively searching for an exceptional Medical Physicist to become an integral part of our team in Jacksonville, NC. The ideal candidate will assume a pivotal role in the radiation oncology department, contributing significantly to our steadfast commitment to innovation in medical physics. An excellent collaboration among Radiation Therapists, Physician, and Dosimetrists creates a fantastic working environment at this location. Achieving a work-life balance is facilitated by a schedule of four on-site days and one day of remote work; excellent off-time support is well established both for the physicist and dosimetrist. The facility installed a new TrueBeam linear accelerator in 2023 and has just installed a new CT simulator in June of 2024! The Aria EMR and Eclipse TPS provide seamless integration in this all Varian facility.
DUTIES:
Review patient records and radiation calculations. Perform complex dosimetry measurements and calculations and assemble dosimetry data required by treatment planning system. Verify the accuracy and integrity of dosimetry data. Perform quality assurance and calibrations on the medical linear accelerator. Provide training and support for dosimetry staff. Complete weekly chart checks. Provide ongoing physics support for all technical and medical staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a closely related scientific field. Knowledge and experience with the Varian TrueBeam, Aria EMR, and Eclipse TPS platforms strongly preferred. Board Eligible or Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics required.
