WHAT WE OFFER

Major Tasks:

As a Project Consultant, this role will act as an Engineering Excellence (ENE) Caretaker for assigned capital projects. The project quality assurance responsibilities include but not limited as the following:
  • Implement, reinforce, and keep track of the COV systematic processes in projects
  • Develop and improve systematic project engineering processes and procedures at COVESTRO; develop and improve global guidelines, templates and examples
  • Conduct project Front End Loading (FEL) gate reviews and monitoring large projects
  • Understand and challenge project scope, cost and schedule, conduct industrial benchmark comparison
  • Support benchmarking activities, e.g. together with Independent Project Analysis (IPA)
  • Document and knowledge management
  • Evaluate project reports with lessons learned as input for improvements
  • Set up and track future project FEL and other activities together with the respective business units
  • Assist in developing execution strategies, risk analysis for projects
  • Facilitate various project topics and guide team to credible solutions
  • Trouble shooting in critical or high visibility projects
  • Participate in Steering Committee (SC) and Technical Committee (TC) meetings for capital projects
  • Support Investment Coordination & Analysis (ICA) activities (e.g. PEER Processes)
  • Coordinate global working groups and engineering communities
  • Understand 3rd party or EPC/EPCm execution and contracting strategies
  • Establish global network within COV and with external contractors
  • Disseminate and provide trainings of COV project management systems

WHAT YOU OFFER

Qualifications:
  • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Minimum five years Project Management experience with capital investments in manufacturing industries
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Customer focus, ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicts
  • Flexibility to travel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Engineering
  • PMI or PMP Certifications a plus
  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills
