Global Senior Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing, Acute Therapies
Location: Baxter Healthcare Corporation headquarters: Deerfield, Illinois

Baxter’s Acute Therapies business is a US$550M business globally and is expected to play a major role in Baxter’s growth over the coming years, with significant investments being made in the pipeline and in market development. The CRRT business represents approximately 90% of the Acute revenue and the market is growing 7% globally.

The Global Senior Marketing Manager will lead the vision and development of a digital ecosystem for the Acute Therapies Portfolio; products, services, and education. This includes: core Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies business, Organ Support Therapies business (includes sepsis, lung, therapeutic plasma exchange, liver), Digital Health business, the Diagnostic business, as well as our services and education offerings, technical services, etc., all of which comprise the Acute Therapies Portfolio.
The role will report into the Director of Market Development. The ideal candidate will have deep experience and expertise in developing and executing customer centric digital marketing initiatives and will be extremely collaborative and proactive in approach.
Role and responsibilities
Collaborate globally and cross-functionally to perform an overall digital needs assessment; identification of internal and external education and promotion needs, identification of local requirements and barriers, identification and assessment of current platforms and technologies available
Define and outline a holistic and integrated digital strategy and ecosystem that ensures local adaptation and identification of how to proceed with current platforms and technologies
Develop and implement the strategized digital ecosystem, applying appropriate KPIs
Manage and optimize the digital ecosystem once developed, including web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns
Implement and utilize metrics, such as Google Analytics, to increase optimization
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns according to established KPIs, ensuring optimization across all
Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing
Evaluate emerging technologies for appropriate application
Provide consultation, thought leadership, and serve as a champion on the Acute Therapies marketing team for Digital Transformation and Marketing Excellence initiatives
Minimum of 7 years marketing experience in the healthcare industry
Minimum of 5 years digital marketing experience, preferably in healthcare industry
Global healthcare experience preferred
BS/BA required, MBA preferred
Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment
Results driven, highly accountable
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Demonstrated expertise in development and implementation of digital marketing strategy & tactics with robust experience in how application of these drove significant business results
Deep technical understanding, with experience across various platforms
Demonstrated experience with integration of multiple platforms into one system (i.e. website, CRM, tools, educational platforms)
Experience collaborating with IT stakeholders
Experience in partnering with regional and local colleagues to understand their needs and how to customize and implement global initiatives at the local level
Demonstrated success driving aligned, global initiatives to meet and exceed targets
