Basic Qualifications

The successful Technical Project Manager must have:
Experience with Microsoft Servers and Software is a must. Prefer individuals with Microsoft MCSA certification or higher as well as hands on experience with Microsoft Servers 2008R2 and 2012R2
Applicants must meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAM-I or higher (CAP, GSLC, Security+ CE). IAM-III (CISSP or Associate/CISM/or GLSC) is strongly desired and must be obtainable within 90 days
Demonstrate 8-10 yrs. of directly related experience in Tier III support and management of personnel
8+ years' experience with Windows 7/Server 2008/Server administration/Powershell experience is desired
Extensive knowledge of Server and PC hardware and software maintenance
Hands-on experience managing Windows Active Directory Services
Demonstrated experience with Group Policy Management, to include creation of policies, troubleshooting and maintaining
Knowledge of SQL 2008 or later
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in utilization of Remedy
Hands-on experience with backup and recovery software applications, preferred experience with Microsoft System Center DPM
Familiar with antivirus and security software (HBSS) and troubleshooting services affected by these software applications
Proficient with TCP/IP network protocol, to include a basic understanding of networking components (switches, routers, taclanes, etc.) and infrastructure
Hands-on experience supporting additional Microsoft products (Office, Project, etc.).
Demonstrated experience with applying STIGs to systems, applications and components and troubleshooting STIG related issues
Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple tasks with little supervision
3+ years managing Operations Center environments, successful project management experience, experience defining and implementing network security practices and at least one advanced technical certification, consistent with DoD 8570.1 requirements
Must have experience with logical and systematic conversion of customer and or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
Experience working with DoD classified IT system security configuration and processes is essential
Experience in the following areas is required: DoD accreditation processes, DoD network security configuration practices, software development processes, cross domain solutions and public key infrastructure
Experience in Trusted computing based systems concepts and DoD classified systems requirements
Monthly (weekend) Maintenance work is required, as well as, after-hours support for customer impacting issues, as required with little to no advanced notice

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's of Science or Technology degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a minimum of an active TS/SCI clearance. Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph within a reasonable amount of time after hire, with acceptable timing determined by manager. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS:
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible to oversee the service operations of assigned personnel and
provide engineering services (hardware/software/networking)
The individual will be responsible to report on network availability metrics (system component up/down time) as required by contract (SLO) requirements
The individual will be an active member of the Configuration, Change and Control Board
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost/risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses of an Enterprise level Microsoft Windows based system
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies that translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Will originate, implement, and complete multiple complex problems across a wide variety of projects
Manage a risk profile and design effective mitigation strategies while maintain national level system security accreditation requirements
Skilled at executing complex tasks and must be able to participate in program and team strategies for multiple projects
Provides strong technical direction in linking project strategy to business roadmaps
Will interpret the technical, organizational and process aspects of the project as it pertains to customer requirements
Oversees, manages and leads a team of system administrators, storage engineers and SharePoint developers.
Brief and communicate with high level management and government officials
Create, provide input and review documentation to include standard operating procedures, security documents and plans and technical papers
Create, coordinate and assign tasks for project schedules as well as brief status to government officials and upper management

Knowledgeable in the following technical areas:
Server backups and remediation of system vulnerabilities to include STIG compliance
Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems
Sets up administrator and service accounts within Active Directory
Maintains system documentation
Interacts with customer’s/end users and evaluates vendor products
May program in an administrative language such as PowerShell
Oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
Participates in special projects as required
Ability to proactively identify issues and resolve and make suggestions for improvements to the environment
Ability to troubleshoot issues to resolution with customer impacting issues being priority and worked on until completion
