Job Overview:
Ashmore Connection is currently seeking an excellent ESL Teacher for a full-time opportunity in the Hickory Hills area this school year!
Duties:
- Teaching English as a second language to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
- Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the needs of individual students and groups.
- Assessing students' language abilities and tailoring instruction to meet their needs.
- Providing feedback to students on their progress and offering suggestions for improvement.
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student participation and motivation.
- Collaborating with other teachers and staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Using technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Keeping accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
- Staying up-to-date with current trends and developments in ESL teaching and incorporating them into instruction.
Required:
- Active Illinois PEL with ESL endorsement
- Experience as an ESL Teacher in a public school setting
