The Gardner School of Oakbrook is seeking passionate and dedicated Lead qualified to join our professional team of educators!
The Gardner School is a state-of-the-art, educational program for young children and their families. We have a supportive environment for staff with low teacher turn-over, competitive pay and benefits. Our school in Chicago is growing in enrollment and looking to add the best and brightest to our team. Ideal candidates will have some college education and some experience with young children.
Responsibilities:
● Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during drop off and pick up times daily.
● Ensure the safety of each child.
● Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum and software.
● Read, understand and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and all State Licensing Agencies.
● Maintain professional and positive relationships with the parents and coworkers.
● Advise the Director or Assistant Director of any supplies needed for the upcoming months.
● Follow the standards set forth for the conduct and responsibilities of all staff members who come in contact with children.

Lead and Assistant Teacher Desired Skills and Experience:
- One year professional experience
- Must love working with children and have a loving and nurturing personality.
- Excellent communication skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff, and children.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Computer literacy required.
Lead Teacher Minimum Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or related degree required.
- Intermediate PC skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Assistant Teacher Minimum Qualifications:
- 60 credit hours, and at least 6 of which are in ECE (this is also to be qualified by the state of IL) or a CDA (Child Development Associate)
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
