Primary responsibility for assessing, designing, developing and evaluating leadership development programs, training programs, and assigned special training projects including, but not limited to:
a) Emerging Leader Development other managerial training and development programs
b) support services and programs
c) Departmental orientation tools
d) Front line and other employee training
Consults to all levels of work groups to improve performance and effectiveness including the design and execution of department performance and team interventions. Provides collaborative support to Senior Education Specialist in CEOD.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
DiSC preferred or ability to acquire expertise within 6 months of hire.
Two years Training and Organization Development experience is required.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
Prefer Masters in Leadership Development, Training and/or Organization Development or another relevant discipline.
Relevant experience may apply.

Consults with management to design, facilitate and implement organizational strategies to achieve operational improvements, e.g. productivity, work redesign, team building, and cultural change.
Gathers evaluative data throughout the organization by employing a variety of appropriate OD methodologies, including surveys, interviews and focus groups.
Coordinates OD and training projects with consultants to ensure an integrated delivery of services.
Provides oversight to the design and execution of programming such as, but not limited to: Emerging Leader Development, Leadership Development, Open Enrollment Staff Development, Support Services and Programs.
Follows the ADDIE model to design and manage training programs from conception through evaluation by collaborating and guiding different levels of staff in developing and designing course content.
Oversees the logistics and delivery of training programs.
Develops marketing strategies for informing the organization about CEOD departmental training programs and services.
Develops courses that are specific to the climate, culture, and terminology of West Virginia University Hospitals.
Partners with subject matter experts to design customized, relevant training programs for the organization.
Evaluates training programs annually to ensure that programs continue to be relevant and reflect leading-edge methods and practices.
Designs, implements, and evaluates OD interventions to improve work methods, job design, and performance alignment with the organization initiatives and culture.
Coach managers on operational tasks, such as goal setting, team building, planning, problem-solving and facilitating the work of others.
Demonstrates regard for the dignity, respect and safety of all patients, significant others, visitors, and hospital personnel as defined in the philosophy of the organization.
Participates in meeting the goals and objectives of CEOD and ensures the department contributes to the attainment of the Hospitals’ goals and objectives.
Maintains proper attendance and punctuality to ensure the Hospital is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Capable of translating strategy into specific goals, action plans, and deliverables by utilizing principles, methods and tools in the following disciplines: organizational effectiveness, change leadership, organization design, cultural integration and high performance teams.
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal/team skills is preferred.
Keeps abreast of advances in Organizational Design and Change Management technologies, including the use of instructional technology.
