LOCATION: This individual will work at our Outpatient Medical Center in Northgate.
SCHEDULE: This individual will work 40 hours per week, primarily Monday - Friday, with rotating Saturdays required.

UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a full time, day shift CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our primary care team. The Certified Medical Assistant will support the primary care healthcare providers in annual wellness services, treatment of acute illness, and care for chronic problems such as asthma, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
Bring patients to exam rooms and document heart rate, blood pressure, height and weight
Obtain patient history, determine patient needs, and prepare patient to see the medical provider
Administer medication and phone in pharmacy refills
Answer questions and follow through on patient inquiries
Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board; OR equivalent education/experience.
Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification in the State of Washington
Previous experience in a primary care setting
Familiarity with Epic EMR software
