About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This position supports and transforms existing and new mission critical and highly-visible operational website(s) and applications – spanning multiple technology stacks – through all phases of SDLC, while working collaboratively across IT, business, and third party suppliers from around the globe in a 24x7, fast-paced, and Agile based environment.

Specifically, you’ll do the following:
  • Collaborates with customers and business teams to transform business requirements into functioning software
  • Works with business, architect, infrastructure, security, and other corporate teams to provide end to end solution and support for steady-state systems
  • Combines conceptual understanding with broad applied experience and provides seasoned technical expertise, high-level analytical, interpretative, evaluative, and/or constructive advice
  • Evaluates requirements and enhancements requests, and proposes solutions with careful consideration of cost, impact, standards, and compatibility to with other systems
  • Assists in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates, testing strategies, and work plans
  • Prepares, consolidates, and generates release notes that are audience appropriate
  • Applies advanced level understanding of current and future technology architecture and integrates this knowledge into design, problem solving, planning, and strategic technical roadmaps
  • Prepares reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software
  • Uses critical thinking to frame complex issues/problems, develops multiple creative solution options, performs tradeoff analysis, identifies impact of various alternative solutions and synthesizes data to arrive at a recommended approach in support of making decisions and taking action
  • Performs thorough analysis and generates root-cause-analysis for any production incident
  • Maintains and enhances existing enterprise services, applications, and platforms using domain driven design and test-driven development
  • Troubleshoots and debugs complex issues; identifies and implements solution


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
  • 3 years of hand-on Agile/XP or related delivery experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
  • Proficiency and demonstrated experience in the following technologies:
    • Web/Mobile technologies: AngularJS, Ext JS, HTML/5, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript, Ionic, Apache Cordova/PhoneGap, React
    • Front-end and other frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, MVC
    • Microsoft technologies: .Net, Classic ASP, VBScript, SQL Server, etc.
    • Database and persistence frameworks: Microsoft SQL Server 2012+, Stored Procedures, SSIS Packages, Hibernate, Oracle, Object/Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning
    • Web Servers: IIS 8.0+, Tomcat, tcServer, Websphere
    • Web Services: REST/SOAP (JSON/WSDL/XML)
    • Build/deployment tools: Maven, Git, Junit, Mockito, TFS Git, Nexus
    • Other Dev Ops Toolchain: Selenium, Nexus Repository, Hygieia, SonarQube, Fortify on Demand, Slack, GitHub, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, Logstaash, Kibana, New Relic Other: Windows Task Scheduler, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Linux/Unix shell Scripting, IBM/Rabbit MQ, Tivoli Scheduler, SQL Developer

  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
