Job Purpose:
The job purpose of a Design Consultant is to provide expert advice and creative solutions to clients regarding the aesthetic and functional aspects of interior or product design. They work closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget, and then develop design concepts that align with the client's vision. A Design Consultant balances creativity with practicality, ensuring that the proposed designs are not only visually appealing but also functional and within the client’s specifications.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Determine the homebuyer’s vision and budget for their new home to properly take care of their needs during your given time.

Professionally sell Wisenbaker and Builder products based on the needs and wants of the buyer.

Conduct all design center appointments in the most productive, efficient and organized fashion possible within the allotted time allocated by the builder.

Thoroughly review all paperwork with the buyer to complete the finalization process.

Manager time in and outside of scheduled appointment time to optimize productivity.

Maintain all builder specific and Wisenbaker product knowledge to best sell all the upgrades.

Stay current on all outstanding emails, quotes and questions for each appointment within office time each day.

Keeping all parties on task to complete the appointments within the builder cycle time, in and outside of given appointment times.

Help to maintain a clean and organized showroom to better serve the builder and homebuyer.

Crosstrain on multiple builders and assist with specs to best utilize their time and pay.

Stay in constant contact with the builder for all pending and newly finalized buyers.

Follow the builder specific and Wisenbaker distribution policies for both final paperwork and any updates that take place thereafter.

Follow all guidelines provided by both your DC manager and builder to ensure that all duties and responsibilities are being done in an orderly fashion daily.
Qualifications & Required Skills:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; additional education or certification in design-related fields is a plus.

Prior experience at WBS or in a builder showroom environment is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining client relationships.
