We are looking for an ACCOUNTING MANAGER for our Savannah, GA location. This is a hands-on role, responsible for accounting functions that include management of Accounting Department personnel, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and retirement benefit compliance, ensuring seamless daily operations overall.

Your role and responsibilities will include:

  • Manage/train Accounts Payable & Receivable personnel for dept. of 3+
  • Process & post semi-monthly multi-state payroll and provide ongoing maintenance of payroll records for 80+ employees
  • Process funding of semi-monthly payroll and 401k
  • Administer 401k Retirement Plan
  • Manage cash flow, wire transfers and company banking relationships to include up-to-date corporate bank resolutions and bank signatory records
  • Initiate credit card payments to vendors as needed
  • Calculate, enter & post journal entries as needed
  • Review & initiate wire payments for overseas agent accounts
  • Reconcile and process Forms W-2, W-3 and 1099-MISC annually for all employees and vendors
  • Calculate monthly employee allocations
  • Resolve complex accounting issues and disputes

The qualifications and skills that you will need include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Thorough working knowledge of accounting principles
  • 5+ years of full-time accounting/finance experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
  • Requires discretion regarding sensitive Company information
  • Proven ability and proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
