This position is based in McLean, VA.
Digicon is a leading and innovative IT service provider with more than 30 years of experience delivering ground-breaking Health IT and scientific solutions to Federal and Commercial clients alike. We are seeking a candidate that has a diverse base of experience working with the major electronic health record (EHR) vendors. Experience with Cerner, VistA and other leading vendors and solution providers is instrumental in supporting our clients consisting of leading Health and DOD organizations. We seek a candidate that has experience with EHR product portfolios with an overall understanding of the industry and key advances that are taking place in the Health IT market.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for the implementation of solutions including core clinical, interface, laboratory, and device integration. The candidate must be willing to work within a fast paced environment to deliver high quality solutions and play an integral part of a cohesive team. Your architect level experience and involvement in multiple migration implementations is a plus. This contract position provides a flexible schedule to play a critical role using your consultative approach to deliver successful implementations of solutions for healthcare organizations.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- EHR Implementation experience, minimum of 2 implementations, VA VistA experience a plus
Experience with integrated health information systems as a consultant, system analyst, developer, architect and/or other role
- Experience with HL7, ADT, and various other interface types
Clinical background preferred
- Willingness to facilitate end user training and ensuring that systems capabilities are evaluated to meet end user requirements and organizational strategic planning objectives
- Bachelors decree in a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent project management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule and overtime and irregular hours when needed
- Must live in the Washington, DC Metro area
