Art Director

The Art director is responsible for a team of artist both inhouse and an overseas team, in a fast-paced deadline driven work environment. Your team is responsible for the quality control of every order that passes through the company, as well as working with clients and making revisions. The department is also responsible for preparing all jobs for production. The Art Director should be familiar with all levels of production to assist employees when needed. Managing the employees and their workflow is top priority and understanding their capacity, in order to determine the flow of each day.

Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited

  • Running reports per workflow to ensure jobs are up to date and capacity can be met.
  • Checking in on numbers per employees to ensure they are working at the appropriate rate
  • Work and manage our third-party art team in India
  • Work alongside company managers for any escalations or special projects, working hand in hand with production, customer service and the plant manager and executives.
  • Organizing and maintaining department projects
  • Always looking for ways to improve the department and company processes.
  • Creating and maintaining templates for all new and old items
  • Ordering supplies for department, i.e. Printers, inks, office supplies
  • Must be able to hire, fire and train when needed
  • Work on marketing material when need be
  • Maintain graphic consistency across all deliverables


8+ years as a professional graphic designer

4+ years’ experience in supervisory role

Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art required

Promotional Products experience is a plus

Dedication to graphic consistency and quality across all channels

Ability to work overtime when necessary to complete time-sensitive projects

Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Illustrator
