Bascom Maple Farms is hiring a Sugar Packer! This is a full-time first shift position (M-F, 7:30am-5pm).
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Machine Operation-Start-up, operate, and shut down filling equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment issues during the filling process.
- Perform routine cleaning in compliance with established schedules.
- Label, fill, and package sugar in various containers and case boxes in compliance with product specifications.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of daily production and cleaning tasks.
- Monitor inventory of sugar room materials and supplies and notify manager to order more.
- Perform all safety and quality control tasks and monitoring as directed.
- Other tasks as requested.
Minimum Requirements
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Math Skills-counting, basic arithmetic
- Reading and writing abilities
- Basic mechanical skills
- Pallet jack experience preferred, or ability to become certified.
Essential Physical & Mental Abilities
Sugar Packers must be able to complete tasks with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You must be a team player with the ability to problem-solve and work independently and able to follow verbal and written instructions, policies, and procedures.
Sugar Packers are very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping frequently. You must be able to consistently lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds.Consistent and reliable attendance is critical.
