Monday - Friday, shifts vary with weekdays and weeknights.
Rate of Pay:
An employee in this classification administers temperature checks and poses health related questions to students and employees of Elgin Community College that request this optional service. General supervision is provided by the assigned manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in healthcare, taking patients vitals and/or asking screening questions.
Ability to operate and read results on a no touch thermometer accurately.
The ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality.
Comfortable working with the public during a pandemic.
Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment through out shift.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Provide excellent customer service to students and employees who voluntarily wish to have their temperature taken.
Use the provided no touch thermometer to take temperature of individuals.
Following the campus procedure, direct the student or employee to leave campus and to followup with the appropriate office.
Must wear ECC provided PPE while on campus.
Work will be done in an office environment.
Sedentary (up to 10 lbs occasionally, sitting most of the time)
Close visual acuity (e.g. computer, assembly)
