We're seeking a certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team!
What you’ll do
- Work a base schedule of 10 hours a week, including:
- ~8 hours conducting psychiatry evaluations and assessments and follow ups, ~ 2 hours of consultation administrative tasks
- Clinical hours can be between 3:30pm-8:30pm est, Monday-Friday (with additional option of sunday hours, if preferred, 9am-1pm est)
- Provide evidence-based telehealth psychiatric care to children and young adults, ages 8-28 years old
- Optional participation in ongoing professional development programming
- Complete clinical notes and documentations in a timely manner in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate with the Handspring team as well as your patient’s pediatricians, school counselors, and other members of their family, as needed

Who we are looking for:
- Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric NP with Mental Health Certification or Psychiatric Physician Assistant
- 3 years post-graduate experience in psychiatric care
- Clinical experience working with young people and their families
- Active DEA license and unrestricted license in Pennsylvania; and New York or New Jersey
- Willingness to obtain licenses in additional states
- Ability to work independently with a strong interest in collaboration and learning
- Knowledge of evidence based mental health treatments
- Comfort with using and learning new technologies, including Zoom, Office, electronic health record systems, and other team collaboration tools
- Availability to start in September 2024
Compensation:
- You will be an independent contractor (1099)
- Compensation: $90-110 an hour
- You’ll have the opportunity to explore long-term employment if interested
- Compensation is determined by years of licensure, place of residence, and years of pediatric mental health experience
