Key Accountabilities
KEY ACCOUNTABILITES

Principal Accountabilities:
  • The Product Planner will develop, maintain, and drive overall schedule execution (cradle-to grave).
  • Support Program management with required schedules and charts.
  • Requisition new tools as required and follow-up through delivery into production.
  • Ensure work orders are released in relation to booked and forecast orders. Communicate constraints to management concerning issues that prevent work orders from being started or completed on-time in support of end item delivery schedule.
  • Review, coordinate and approve configuration changes.
  • Execute decisions concerning detail scheduling and shop floor control to maintain correct priorities and schedule adherence. Monitor MRP performance and correct problems.
  • Work with Engineering on BOM and Router development. Learn all processes and understand production capability concerning your assigned parts/tools and programs.
  • Participate in cross-training sessions including Kaizen events. Encourage learning of all aspects of Materials Management. Provide feedback. Participate in audit support as needed to support Operations.
  • Uses SAP – especially the modules related to production and inventory control. Also understands the Order Entry, Cost Accounting, Engineering, and Shipping modules as they relate.
Shared Accountabilities:
  • Support Program Managers by providing information on current shipping schedules.
  • Assist Process Planners in managing work order release, First Article Inspection (FAI) configuration control, outside process shipments, memo shippers and requisitions for tool re-work or modifications.
  • Assist Materials Management in setting short and long range goals, plans, and budgets based on Factory goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, OR Minimum of five (5) years experience in Materials Management and APICS preferred..Strong MRP experience in production/material inventory control. Knowledge/use of SAP- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, OR Minimum of five (5) years experience in Materials Management and APICS preferred..Strong MRP experience in production/material inventory control. Knowledge/use of SAP- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate skill level with Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
