The 3M Corporate Quality Team is a central resource of Quality professionals who deliver our 3M Vision by deploying Quality Management Systems and Quality methodologies within our Businesses and Operations. This is achieved through education, training and coaching in all aspects of Quality. Additionally, the team collaborates with the rest of the organization through consulting and facilitation to deliver efficient Quality solutions across the entire Customer Journey and build upon our Customer First mindset. As we transform our Business and Commercialization process, Corporate Quality plays a strong role in ERP deployment and post-deployment support. Corporate Quality is part of the Lean Six Sigma Operations resource group.

Job Summary :
The person hired for this position will lead Quality Management System development and deployments at 3M locations in the US and drive International deployments. This role requires a global understanding of 3M Quality Management Systems and Quality Engineering methodologies across multiple Business Groups and Regulatory frameworks. You will gain expertise in 3M Quality Management (QM) deployment as you work with organizations and facilities for ERP deployment.

This role will uniquely build experiences to succeed and grow in our new Business Transformation world at 3M, and QMS development will create future opportunities to contribute in new and interesting ways.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Developing and implementing QM processes, manage change impacts, business roles and education.
Leading QM implementation for ERP deployments.
Collaborating with the global Polaris BT and US QM deployment teams.
Leading Corporate Quality strategy through education, training and development of our Global Quality organization.
Implementing metrics, reports and analytics to prioritize and drive continuous improvement opportunities across our Businesses and Operations.
Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Systems, SAP-QM, Quality Systems and/or Lean Six Sigma in a private, public, government and/or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited institution
Operational experience working with current Quality Management Systems and processes
ERP experience
Ability to lead and champion quality and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to drive a Customer First mindset and Quality Culture within teams
Experience with IT systems and IT system implementation projects
Demonstrated ability to deploy system changes with plant sites globally
Lean Six Sigma experience
ASQ professional certification as CQE or CMQ/OE (or equivalent)
Detail oriented with project management experience
Ability to influence at all levels, promoting and driving change acceptance
Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills
Solid organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
Experience working on cross-functional and global teams

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international
