Full Job Description
The Social Media Art Director, Executive Media collaborates with the Director of Executive Media to align social and digital-first brand positioning, strategy, and initiatives for the President of SCAD through engaging visual content and dynamic media. This role is primarily responsible for the development, creative direction and execution of social media content, visual presentations, video and photography initiatives to promote the President and the unique events, environments, lifestyle and opportunities offered at SCAD.
Successful candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree; relevant experience in digital brand and social media strategy, art direction and graphic design, and communications. Illustration and motion media experience required.
As a direct representative of the office of the president, applicant must exhibit professionalism both appearance, demeanor, and communications at all times.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills, candor and confidential nature as interviewing, and networking with very high-profile visiting artists, students, and staff/faculty members.
Must be able to travel on short notice.
Must provide leadership/motivation and convey the vision and values of SCAD to staff.
Must continually research, seek out inspiration and provide recommendations on how to keep SCAD’s digital-first creative initiatives, visual content, social and event promotion at the level of quality expected from a leader in the art and design community.
