The Analytics Business Solution Manager leads the development and implementation of analytics and digital transformation efforts in support of Caterpillar’s strategic initiatives; provide leadership to senior business leaders on overall strategic analytics planning process, analytics strategy development and implementation of their transformation through specific analytics projects.

Job Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Leading senior leaders around the company on how to leverage data science to accelerate their Profit improvement plans and business strategies.

Be an analytics expert advisor to senior and executive management

Provide program level leadership of the delivery of large complex global cross-divisional projects to maximize the analytics value opportunities for Caterpillar

Provide leadership to enterprise teams that develop analytics strategies that clearly represent a competitive advantage for the enterprise

Responsible for turning analytics strategies into actions and results

Serve as the catalyst helping business units in integrating analytics strategies into business strategies

Responsible for carefully evaluate complex business problems, identifying the corresponding analytics value opportunity and recommending solutions that leverage data science, and driving those solutions into bottom line results

Manages the communication process for analytics strategies throughout the organization

Basic Requirements:
Position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university
8+ years of experience in analytics or advanced quantitative analytics.
5+ years of experience in dealer/customer support with emphasis in heavy or industrial equipment.
Intermediate experience in Program Management.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Master’s degree preferred (or equivalent) quantitative discipline

Demonstrated ability to foster strong client relationships

Excellent quantitative skills and ability to interpret data from multiple sources
Proficiency with and knowledge of industry techniques and systems for analytics solutions
Superior professional acumen including verbal, written, and presentation skills
Hands on experience with analytical tools (R, Python, SAS, Tableau)

Proven project or program management expertise, preferably agile experience

Significant domain experience within a business unit or field (marketing, forecasting, product development, finance)

Demonstrated experience to set high goals, and create strategies to achieve those goals

Should have exceptional leadership and networking skills and the ability to be futuristic and proactive

Demonstrated experience on how to build to build consensus through communication and interpersonal skills

Ideal candidate with have strong network in Product Development & Research along with applied experience within a product group.
