Role Objective:
The principal responsibilities of the VP of Communications & PR is responsible for advancing the company brand, image and reputation by leading the strategy and execution of the company’s internal and external (field)-facing corporate communications. This role will be responsible for directly engaging Consultants, customers, employees and other stakeholders and audiences through strategic partnerships, media relations, social media, influencer relations, and skincare / pampering community involvement.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for assessing current field, other external communications, as well as the company’s vision, strategy and goals to develop, present and implement a strategic plan to drive brand awareness, drive sales / recruiting and brand engagement, drive event attendees, and influence public opinion through PR and influencer relations.

Work closely with stakeholders in the creation and delivery of all internal and external communication across a broad range of business channels.

Develop and deliver an integrated campaign-like influence strategy to support the goals of the company’s key programs

Provide strategic oversight of media strategy and relations, corporate (product, business, leadership) announcements and communications

Own proactive and reactive communications strategies and tactics related to our business including responses to media inquiries, position statements, key messages, Q&As and press releases

Collaborates tightly with the rest of the exec team - especially marketing and business development - to proactively and adequately communicate

Develop content and engagement strategies to inform, educate and inspire employees across company

Develop content and engagement strategies to inform, educate and inspire employees across field & reaching those who don’t know the brand

Support company communications as required and evaluate external visibility opportunities and prepare communications materials and media outreach plans

Establish an external communications strategy that is aligned to the company’s mission, vision and goals

Build the brand proactively (less organically) driving home the accurate message of what the brand is, our unique position in the market, and how to engage with the brad as a lifestyle. Build awareness in the marketplace of Posh products and lifestyle

must be able to build and execute a company-wide communications plan and strategy that is comprehensive and quick-paced. Able to work with and even build a strong, efficient comms team

Event / public speaking / professional training experience helpful. Useful if able to build agendas, coordinate content, etc

Able to build and manage library of accurate / adequate content around programs, changes, etc used across the entire company for consistency

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Political Science or related field.

Understanding of retail industry and direct sales / social selling is strongly preferred

Seasoned communicator, minimum 5-7 years’ experience, specifically with managing communications in large companies. International experience helpful.

Contacts in the U.S. media across retail, direct sales, social media, and business audiences in trade and national publications.

A strategic thinker who can make connections across the business and apply them to communications initiatives; anticipates issues and proactively works to resolve them.

Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and high sense of urgency

Results oriented; takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality work and effectively conveys its value.

Experience leading and managing a communications agency or team.

Experience in measurement tools used to assess the impact of communications programs.

Must be an exceptional communicator (written and oral) with strong business acumen

Ability to influence, demonstrated agency management and leadership capabilities and executive presence.

Able / willing to travel occasionally
