Compensation: Starting $80,000
$300 Sign-on Bonus After Completion of the 90-day Probationary Period
Responsible for monitoring all activities in the Shipping area pertaining to all outgoing merchandise. Provide leadership and guidance to all Shipping employees. The Shipping Manager will work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to maintain standards and SOP compliance for all shifts.
Essential Functions

Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the Shipping Department, including developing Departmental goals, objectives, and systems for all shifts by working in sync with department members, shipping carriers, Customer Service department and other vendors.

Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of Department initiatives in relation to the established goals and provides evaluation of performance of Shipping personnel in relation to the established goals.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance within the Shipping Department for all shifts.

Ensure all Safety Policies are being adhered to in the department. Ensure all shipping policies are adhered to and are responsible for staying updated with the new laws and regulations.

Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Coordinate the training of new and current employees for various job roles in the department. Cross-train and mold employees for future internal opportunities.

Ensure Shipping Trainers are trained and updated with new policies and procedures. Responsible for reducing shipping errors by staying updated with current and suggesting new methods to improve the quality of production.

Handle employee concerns, issues, and disciplinary action including filling out incident reports or other relevant documentation and submitting it to Human Resources.

Maintain department supplies by checking stock to determine inventory levels on hand, anticipating requirements, and placing orders on a weekly basis for all shifts.

Assure department assets are accounted for daily, Work with facilities and IT department to ensure the repair of any damaged assets within the department. Work with various vendors to maintain the assets running smoothly within the department.

Communicate with various departments to ensure customer satisfaction and streamlined operations. Responsible for communicating accurate processing times for shipping orders on website.

Ensure daily cut-off and metrics are achieved and that all processes and activities are running smoothly and promptly.

Manage overhead to maximize productivity and minimize waste. (Utilizing the right number of employees that it should take to achieve company metrics and goals for both shifts).

Ensure the Supervisors are keeping Leads, Admins and Associates to the standards of the departments and company SOP’s.

Ensure all employees are meeting job level Metric expectations and requirements.

Ensure all Shipping desk responsibilities are being completed in a timely manner while documents, files and reports are maintained.

Support Shipping employees by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results by doing their timely 90 day and annual reviews.

Generate various reports and records for accuracy and compliance with the established procedures. Submit Daily and Monthly KPI’s to the reporting Manager.

Works closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager on implementing and improving the SOPs and the company's Agenda for continuous growth.

Must be willing to learn all aspects of the department and delegate responsibilities accordingly.

Performs Other duties assigned by the Warehouse Operations Manager.

Work with different third-party IT vendors to make sure the systems are always operating smoothly in all shifts.

Required Education and Experience
A minimum of an Associate degree. Three to five years of experience in a warehouse, inventory control or materials management in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center environment. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse environment where the noise level can be loud. The employee is frequently exposed to fast-moving carts and bins throughout the warehouse.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is moderately active and requires standing and walking. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift warehouse products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
