Small accounting/advisory firm is currently seeking an experienced Tax Preparer and Bookkeeper. The preferred candidate will have performed a minimum of 300 tax returns and is QuickBooks proficient. Drake software knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Advanced QuickBooks experience highly preferred (billing; invoicing; journal entries; credit card reconciliations; set up of new company files; compilation of reports)
Must be able to keep employee and client matters strictly confidential
Prepare tax returns; Drake software experience is a plus
Ability to research and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office products
Have a high level of attention to detail and a high level of organization and time management skills
Must be proficient with QuickBooks
Strong accounting background preferred
Enrolled Agent preferred
Excellent communication skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred. Three to five or more years of previous business-related work experience required.
