In this role in the Watson Health Cúram team, you will support clients implement the Cúram Social Platform Management (SPM). You will join a dynamic team that works with customers to meet their business objectives while embracing emerging and cutting-edge technologies, new standards and solving complex problems.
You will continue to develop expertise in the technical aspects of IBM Watson Health SPM solutions and work closely, at project sites, with clients, systems integration partners and delivery teams.

DevOps and Cloud Consultants bring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience architecting modern cloud services across a broad range of technologies, applying architectural methods to structure complex solution designs in collaboration with our client’s cloud and senior architects. They are expected to structure and facilitate various design meetings and workshops, be the face of IBM Watson Health to client, dive into deep technical topics, discuss common architecture patterns and reference models, coordinate to ensure the right technical skills are on the team, and structure requirements, specifications and architectural decisions. They apply deep technology and Cúram SPM domain or industry expertise and architecture & design methods to analyze requirements and design appropriate solutions. The consultant has development experience in Java/J2EE and is a quick learner able to develop solid hands on skills in IBM Cúram SPM.
Broad design expertise across Kubernetes, Docker, Containerization, OpenShift, IAM, OS tuning/config, Database config/tuning, Security, monitoring and tuning of various cloud models
Broad understanding and expertise across enterprise cloud architecture (public, private, hybrid and multi), Infrastructure, storage, networking (cloud & non-cloud), enterprise monitoring, cloud governance models and approaches
This role is open to be filled in Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal
At least 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in application design/development with at least 2 years in Java /JEE/ J2EE development
Knowledge of UML, MVP, RDBMS (DB2 or Oracle), SQL, App Servers (WAS, WLS, Liberty profile) and working on flavors of UNIX/Window OSs
Experience as Cloud and DevOps consultant for an IT professional services firm or similar
Expertise with SDLC life cycle and associated IT processes – Agile/Waterfall/Scrum/Kanban, DevOps Life cycle and/or any Design Thinking certification is desirable.
Expertise in cloud adoption, assessments, design practices and implementation strategies.
Ability to integrate industry standard tools across a typical DevOps life Cycle for CI/CD process
Hands-on expertise on Containerization, Container orchestration (OpenShift, ICKS, EKS, AKS, GKE or equivalent) and containerized cloud deployment models
Experience in any DevOps scripting and terminal shells
Familiarity with any deployment logging and monitoring tools
2-3 years of experience in IBM Cúram SPM design, dev, and deployment model
Experience in areas of IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management
Knowledgeable of DevOps and CI/CD automation tools
Deep understanding of methodologies to gather and analyze requirements, design and implement specific cloud solutions
Experience in implementation of Cúram SPM or any COTS package software
Hands-on with any IDEs and plugins for cloud dev/deploy/orchestration
Working experience in Java, J2EE, web/app servers, JMS/Messaging, Webservice (SOAP/REST) is preferred
Blingual in English and French
