Brief Position Description:
The overall objective of the Financial Analyst I position is to support the back office operations of Advisory Services, Brokerage Services, and Management Department. The primary responsibility is to oversee the security safekeeping operation. This includes reviewing member entered trade tickets, settling daily buy/sell transactions, researching payment differences, calculating principal/interest payments, preparing wires to settle transactions, monthly safekeeping billing and reconciling member security safekeeping holdings.
The Financial Analyst I will be the primary contact with the safekeeping custodian, J.P. Morgan. They will be responsible for opening new accounts, creating and maintaining member credit union reports, and communicating on daily settlement issues.
In addition to overseeing the \security safekeeping service, the Financial Analyst I will be the primary contact between J.P. Morgan and other corporate that utilize security safekeeping services.
Other responsibilities include contract management for multiple investment service products, responding to credit union inquiries, maintaining client lists, and providing reports to other departments.
Four-year business-related degree required
Two to three years of experience in financial services industry
Proficient in Excel
Ability to communicate efficiently with clients and co-workers
Detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced position
Basic understanding of fixed income securities
Good computer skills
Knowledge of trading and settlement of fixed income securities
