The Data Entry Specialist I performs day to day data entry tasks to include; both letter and numerical data entry functionality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
Perform complete and accurate typing and data entry applicable to records tracking and management.
Support general administration functions associated with the designated information sharing mechanisms.
Maintain effective communication with customers, staff, and PMO as necessary.
Track documents through completion of process.
Respond to inquiries as needed to resolve problems in order to maintain quality customer service and records management standards.
Develop, facilitate, and participate in training for staff on processing transactions in support of the designated information storage system.
Remove and return files to packing boxes.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
High School Diploma/GED required and 1 year of relevant work experience.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality, and be able to pass a Background Check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Outstanding command of spoken and written English, and the ability to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and partner organizations.
Detailed oriented, with exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Work Environment:

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
