About this opportunity
TC Transcontinental Menasha has openings for an Entry Level Rewinder Helper.
The Rewinder Helper’s job consists of assisting the Rewinder Operator with setting up and maintaining production of Finishing equipment. Their duties include ensuring that they properly read the work order specifications, all materials are available to run, and are following all quality check requirements including any HACCP/SQF procedures.
This entry level position is part of a line of progression which requires employees to move into higher skill level positions based on seniority. This position has a continuous operation schedule – working 12 hour rotating shifts (6a-6p or 6p-6a). This position also gives employees the ability to bid for positions outside of the Finishing Department including Extrusion Lamination, Waste Recovery, Warehouse and Maintenance.
What you will do
Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards
Responsible for producing a quality product while maintaining production performance
Comfortable working with computers and using a ruler/measuring tape
Assist with troubleshooting minor machine problems when equipment is down or not performing to standard
Constantly monitor quality and waste for all orders being produced
Continually learn the responsibilities of the various positions to advance in the line of progression
Partake in maintaining good housekeeping in their area and throughout the department
Physical demands include lifting up to 40 pounds, walking/standing for extended periods of time

Manufacturing experience in flexible packaging industry preferred but not required
Must be detail oriented and able to distinguish colors
Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle a wide variety of responsibilities in a timely manner
Consistently at work and on time
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms
Ability to pass pre-employment testing requirements
