The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Admissions and Records Assistant 2 to support Enrollment Services. This position is contingent upon funding and does not provide layoff rights. This position will research student appeals for graduation eligibility, correspond with students in regards to graduation, troubleshoot concerns, handle difficult situations while providing excellent customer service, explain policies and procedures, assist the graduation coordinator with all commencement related items, send out communication with updates regarding commencement information, assist with scheduling of announcers, coordinate with vendors to ensure commencement materials are accurate and other duties as needed.
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical experience, one of which was in a college admissions and/or records office or relevant student services area which included maintaining student information, data entry, reviewing applications and student contact; OR one year of experience as an Admissions & Records Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This is subject to change based on organizational needs.
