Summary

About the Position:
Andersen Elementary School is located on Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, "Where America's Day Begins." Andersen ES currently serves approximately 1,000 students in grades K-5. The community shares the responsibility for building the academic success of each student.

Federal employees in Yigo, Guam may be entitled to receive a 12.80% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

Responsibilities
Encourage safety by demonstrating basic safety procedures.
Assemble students in designated areas to maintain order.
Report issues or problems to appropriate staff member.
Provide direction in regards to established hallway or lunchroom procedures.
Monitor student movement through hallways to ensure safety.
Assist students with proper lunchroom cleanup procedures.

This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

General Experience: Three months of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, providing customer service or assistance and following standard procedures.

Education: High school graduation (or equivalent)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 3. Then divide your total credit hours of education by the total number of credit hours required for graduation as set by your high school. Add the two percentages.
