West Safety Services is looking for a Helpdesk Manager to add to its team in Longmont, CO.
The core focus of this position will be responsible for:
Planning, organizing, and managing staff in support of assigned business unit’s products and services, as well as overall help desk operation processes, while ensuring adherence to corporate and departmental policies, standards, and procedures
Assist the leadership team with developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas in regards to help desk support for assigned area (e.g. PSAP communications, government support, etc.)
Manage the 24x7 help desk operations center and oversee the continuous monitoring and service provided to both internal and external clients, ensuring through documentation and issues are brought to resolution
Act as an escalation point for direct reports, as well as tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 technical operations support staff, placing the highest priority on ensuring the activities of assigned staff meet the timelines and quality needs of the assigned business unit
Monitor, review, and quality check problem management ticket system to confirm problems are adequately resolved by staff teams
Continuously review the effectiveness of current procedures/best practices and strive to identify improvement to processes, presenting recommendations (of automation or implementation) to business unit management
Ensure department programs and processes are defined in accordance with department documented standards (e.g. Intrado Quality System, 5-9s, etc.) and best practice standards

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University with major case work in MIS, computer science or related area required
Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements
Minimum five years' experience in a telecommunications or high-technology industry is required, preferably supporting a technical ticketing system
Minimum of three years' of supervisory experience required
Minimum five years’ experience with networking, Windows based servers and workstations is required
Minimum two years of experience with telephony networks (e.g., SS7, SIP, ISDN, wireless 9-1-1, PSAP connectivity, network topology, etc.) preferred
Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
On call work (24/7) may be required depending on area of assignment ITIL Foundations certification preferred
