Job Summary

Position Summary: On a day-to-day basis, the Programmer Analyst assists in development projects through the entire software development lifecycle, inclusive of unit testing and functional testing. Duties also include interfacing with DataPoint Project Manager(s) and MedPoint Account Managers to gather and analyze requirements. Position requires the knowledge and skills to develop and produce web based applications, from ePortals, to simple registration websites. Database design and development, including writing stored procedures using T-SQL. Working knowledge of .Net based desktop applications is required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Roles and Responsibilities:

Day-to-day tasks include but are not limited to:

Attend Project Roll-out Meetings

Analyze user/business requirements

Unit testing of application code

Integration testing of applications

Implementation of graphic designs/branding

Interface design

Database programming of stored procedures, triggers and queries

Web services

Security reviews and analysis

Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements

Work with stakeholders to provide analysis on system questions

Work with Creative to gather design elements

Notify Project Manager of delays

Identify system installation needs

Attend Project Management Meetings

Recommend software and hardware upgrades

Integrate FLASH and other multimedia content into applications

Document applications and code

Perform required system, sop, & validation training

Continue knowledge of new techniques and improve efficiency

Ability to multi-task on several concurrent development projects

Handling of system / user support requests

Defect resolution

Meets all assigned delivery deadlines

Properly raises concerns in a timely fashion

Understands the importance of meeting the client’s expectations and needs

Delivering projects on time and within budget, and with high quality

Technical Skills:

Experience with:

Visual Studio 2008, MS SQL Management Studio, Team Source Control (Team Foundation Server)Strong working knowledge in design and programming in: ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL, XML, Ajax, JavaScript

Environments: Web/Desktop Applications and SQL server

Working ability within a SDLC methodology and architecture

Knowledge and experience in Web Service creation and implementation

Strong working knowledge and understanding of current web standards and user interface design and principles; strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, & Ajax controlled interfaces

Work Experiences:

Not less than 4 years of development experience (1-year experience acceptable for candidates with a Master’s Degree)2+ years of experience working within Microsoft Visual Studio

2+ years of experience working with Microsoft Visual Source Safe

Pharmaceutical Industry experiences a plus

Experience with GCP a plus

Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 a plus

Experience with Validated Environments a plus

Experience with Learning Management Systems a plus

Experience with Event Management Systems a plus

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint development a plus

Education: Bachelor’s degree from four-year accredited college or university
