Entry level salary while in the police academy is $8239 (recruit step 1) in police academy, after successful completion of the Field Training Program salary is $9573 (Officer Step 1). Then there are annual increases to $12532 (step 5 officer including incentives like 5.4% holiday in lieu pay, bilingual pay, special assignment pay, educational pay, etc.).
