Our clients include integrated oil companies, major mining multinationals, as well as several of the world's largest global electric utilities and power-generation firms. In addition, we work closely with the Global Markets group by supporting energy and commodity trading and sector analysis/portfolio management groups within financial institutions. We also collaborate with the other client services teams on a variety of strategic research projects and thematic workshops. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following: Review, confirm and modify customers’ layouts to conform to selected manufacturers’ capabilities and product description.
Provide accurate and detailed CAD generated installation drawings from architectural block-plans and samples for systems furniture, modular furniture, and freestanding furniture. Provide planning and specifications for reconfiguring of existing systems projects. Services include generating total existing inventory specification, total required specification, and new, reusable and excess specifications. Plan furniture into architectural backgrounds for double-check of fit and application of systems furniture in and coordination with architectural conditions.
Provide electrical and data coordination plans. Generate plan view and 3D drawings for client presentations. Provide installation package for each project. Develop workstation examples and/or space plans.
Perform field measurements and attend site coordination meetings at client sites. Track project hours spent for System Planning Services on assigned projects. Share product expertise with staff. Support Systems Planning team to manage workload.
The ideal candidate will have: Proven track record of completing assignments in a timely manner with a proactive and self-starter approach. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple duties. The facility to take direction from others Strong attention to detail A minimum of 2 years experience in furniture systems planning and specifying. Must be proficient users of AutoCAD software.
Experience with the CAP specifying tool, space planning and Knoll furniture systems is preferable. Experience with rendering software or other presentation-based programs is desirable, but not critical.
