Banner Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking an Estimator/Business Development Representative to join their team, primarily responsible for estimating labor and material costs of abatement and/or demolition jobs based on request for proposal (RFP) or data submitted by prospective and existing customers.

Job Responsibilities

Meet with potential clients, contractors, and engineers to determine the scope of work
Analyze specifications including site surveys, building plans, and physical site visits
Complete accurate estimates of required labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors needed to complete project
Utilize existing cost history as a check to complete estimate; aid in the preparation and maintenance of historical cost data
Analyze alternative solutions and construction methods to increase competitiveness of the bid
Create or implement estimating software for all estimating elements
Support and lead business development activities and account penetration by selling the company’s services and diversifying current markets
Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers
Research sources for developing prospective customers
Promote Banner Environmental Services to owners, developers, GC's, planners, architects, engineers, and any appropriate sales lead by increasing brand awareness, engaging new clients, coordinating public relations efforts, participating in professional and/or industry organizations
Identify new projects and clientele, both in the private and public sector
Identify, retrieve, comprehend and administer RFQ and RFP solicitations
Work with other key personnel on business development leads and strategies
Build and manage long term relationships and partnerships with clients, architectural, and engineering principals
Consistently follow up on submitted bids to close business
Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline is preferred
Minimum 7 years of estimating, business development and/or sales experience
Must possess experience in the environmental or demolition field
Ability to develop good relationships with current and potential customers
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers and the ability to communicate with field staff
Must be results-orientated and be able to work both independently and within a team environment
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and experience with Quick-Books; experience with estimating software a plus
Asbestos Inspector's License is a plus
