This role will give you the opportunity to come in and be our first line of defense - our dispatcher - for when our customers need us most to assure they can do their job and serve their communities to the best of their ability. Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service via phone and email by providing solutions to customers’ software and hardware questions and issues
Gather detailed information from customers and document/relay to other team members so that issues can be effectively investigated and resolved
Prioritize customer issues; communicate progress as you work to resolve them in a quick timeframe
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers
Work with a wide range of disciplines and personalities, both internally and externally
Minimum of two years' experience in Intel-based computer hardware, Microsoft based operating systems, and Microsoft based application software
Understanding of networking, TCP/IP protocol, and routing configuration
Advanced technical skills with extensive knowledge of commonly used technology, concepts, practices and procedures of Windows-based computer software and hardware
Understanding of relational databases with exposure to or experience with SQL Servers and Databases
First-rate interpersonal skills, positive client service skills, problem-solving skills, and writing skills
The ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing and accurately completing them in a timely fashion in a potentially stressful environment
A self-starter and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Able to demonstrate, on a continuing basis, excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must possess demonstrated analytical and organizational skills and be able to resolve complex application problems
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of Windows-based computer software and hardware
Knowledge of recent versions of Microsoft Windows, Server, and SQL
Able to travel up to 25% of the time and work out of the Decorah, IA office.
