SOM Women's Initiative Shadowing Opportunity

Program Dates: January 7, 2020 - January 10, 2020

Undergraduate and Graduate Students are encouraged to apply for the SOM Women’s Initiative Shadowing Opportunity. The program gives invaluable experience, mentorship and guidance to talented students who plan to pursue a career in Architecture, Engineering or related fields. During the week-long program, selected students will rotate through SOM departments to gain a well-rounded perspective on the work of the firm and the day-to-day experience of SOM design professionals.

Connect with professionals in various positions and departments who will share their educational and work experiences.
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the skills and educational requirements to pursue a career in architecture or related fields.
Students will be given the opportunity to attend scheduled in-house lectures, events and lunch sessions with professionals and other students.
Accompany a team to a site visit, attend project meetings, assist with graphic or organizational tasks, and grow your knowledge of the world of architecture.
Learn first-hand about the many career paths within architecture, engineering, and design fields and glean insight into discovering your own passions.

Current Enrollment in a Graduate or Undergraduate program of Architecture, Engineering, or a related Design field in January 2020.
