The New Jersey Judiciary is widely recognized for cutting-edge innovation in the application of technology to transform the administration of justice and enhance the delivery of services to judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public. We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our Information Technology Office. As a technical Project Manager and a key member of our management team, the selected candidate will work collaboratively with partners across all organizational areas to establish governance, develop policies, and ensure that adequate procedures and resources are in place to effectively design, develop, implement, and support a statewide portfolio of critical business applications. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and technical skills are required to both manage existing case management applications and guide new technology reengineering projects.
The technology environment that supports all business applications and services for the NJ Courts is rapidly shifting to an increasingly complex and robust combination of PEGA Business Process Management and JAVA software development platforms while concurrently maintaining stable legacy Case Management Systems in Cobol/DB2. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical ability and a solid working knowledge of the fundamental technologies that underlie our development and technical environment and also offer excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Project management certification (e.g., PMI/PMP) is desirable. Familiarity with PCI compliance standards is a plus.
Salary: $85,712.14 (Starting salary will normally be at the minimum but may go up to 15% above based on education and experience)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of professional administrative and/or program management experience which shall have included responsibility for reviewing, prioritizing, and assessing information technology initiatives, projects, and staff; developing, implementing, and supporting complex systems, database, network, and applications environments; aligning technology strategies with business objectives; optimizing use of Information Technology resources including developing budgets and controlling costs; and/or defining applications development methodologies and three (3) years of supervision of staff.
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An Associate's Degree and two years of additional professional experience may be substituted for the required Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for one year of experience as indicated above -OR- a Law Degree may be substituted for two years of experience as indicated above.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act,” all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
