What your day looks like:
This individual is responsible for assisting the farm manager and directing all tasks associated with maintaining the farm, flock health and performance, equipment, and facility upkeep, this is done under the direction of the farm manager.

Assist with daily tasks, making sure they are completed properly and efficiently

Oversee mechanical operation and maintenance of all equipment

Keep facility running in a clean safe orderly manner

Be on call if problems arise
-
Ensure that flocks and facilities are performing as intended
-
Provide oversight on flock performance and record keeping
-
Maintain consistent communication with your supervisor
-
Perform daily cleaning tasks such as egg collector's floors, corridors, and equipment.

Monitor for sick or unhealthy birds and removed any deceased
-
Monitor that belts and feeders are working properly
-
Maintain farm rodent and insect traps
-
Complete necessary farm logs in daily task lists
-
Find and fix basic issues such as egg jams and leaks
-
Other duties as assigned by the supervisors
Who Are You:

Good Housekeeping Skills
